Nurse Rose O’Meara is delighted to join the Island Medical Clinic. She is originally from Kerry. She has extensive nursing experience, with over 18 years of Adult and Paediatric nursing experience in University Hospital Kerry, Bon Secours Hospital, Tralee and in Our Lady’s Hospital, Crumlin, Dublin. She obtained a degree in science, graduating in 2006, from the Institute of Technology, Tralee, now known as Munster Technological University. She then furthered her studies in University College Dublin, where she received a Postgraduate Diploma in Paediatric nursing care.
In her role as Practice Nurse, she hopes to encourage health promotion and deliver quality healthcare education to our patrons. She is keen to deliver excellent care in the Primary Care setting through vaccination programs, smoking cessation support, chronic disease management programs, to name but a few.
