Blood tests can be performed, by appointment, following consultation with your doctor or as part of surveillance of certain medical conditions or if on certain medications. You may be asked to fast for 14 hours before your test. Your doctor will need to select the correct blood tests to perform after discussing any clinical symptoms at a consultation. This is in the interests of the patient as specific blood tests are linked to certain conditions and related to certain symptoms.
Results can take up to 3 weeks to return to your doctor. If you have already consented, the doctor or nurse will update you on the result(s) by text message or may phone you to discuss.
If you have failed to get your result, please contact the clinic on 0000000000 between 2pm and 3pm Mon/Tues/Thurs/Fri.
Please note that reception and administrative staff are not permitted to give test results to patients unless specifically instructed by a doctor.
While most X-ray, scan and pathology results are best discussed at a consultation, your doctor may text or ring you to discuss.
